Dr. Carl Lavorata, D.D.S.
Co-CEO, Co-Founder & Director
Dr. Carl E. Lavorata is the Founder and Director of Dental Technology Corporation. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from New York University in 1983. There, he majored in Biology, where he played an integral part of a research project in Embryology, assisting a well known research professor. He also served as an officer in the Pierre Fauchard Pre-Dental Honor Society of NYU. Dr. Lavorata received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the prestigious Georgetown University School of Dentistry in 1987. And with so many out tours as part of its curriculum, his community dentistry spirit was developed.
Dr. Lavorata is a well-known leader in the dental field and continues to advance his dental and medical education. His practice in Smithtown, NY measures in the top ten percent in the U.S. with regards to quality and production. He is an active member in the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Association, the Suffolk County Dental Society, and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
Dr. Lavorata is a recognized leader in his community as well, where he has been active for over thirty years in his Church and Knights of Columbus, where he is the Youth Director. To this day, he has performed charitable dental services to the less fortunate on a weekly basis. He also ministers at St. Catherine of Sienna’s Nursing Home every week for the last twenty five years, just to put a smile on the resident’s faces.
Dr. Lavorata is highly engaged in the dental field with regards to product development, practice management and capital funding. He has assisted in evaluating and developing orthodontic appliances along with successfully attaining Intellectual Property (U.S. Patents). He is well-known for his lectures both nationally and internationally.
Dr. Lavorata is also a Senior Advisor and Partner of Intrepid Phoenix Capital Advisors, joining a team of accomplished experts in the Healthcare Funding industry. Here, he has brought several products to final development and funding, and partners in the overall mission of quality control and product review.

William P. Danielczyk
Chairman of the Board
Mr. Danielczyk is a recognized leader in the heathcare and merchant banking sectors. He has over twenty-five years of senior executive experience serving as a CEO and board member of both private and public companies.
Known as a serial entrepreneur, Mr. Danielczyk has started or has been an advisor to over 50 companies. From 2001 to 2012, Mr. Danielczyk served as Chairman & CEO of Galen Capital Corporation (GCC); a diversified middle-market merchant banking and investment firm with a focus on healthcare and the defense sectors. During his tenure at GCC, Mr. Danielczyk grew the firm from one to five offices and GCC became recognized as one of the leading middle market merchant banking firms in the country.
During his career, Mr. Danielczyk has participated in or completed over $500 million dollars of transactions on behalf of his companies and clients. He has served as Executive Chairman of Innolog Holdings Corporation, a public Company in the defense industry. A board member of AcuNetx, Inc., a public company in the medical device industry. Chairman & CEO of Millennium of Health Communication, a leading healthcare internet company and as President & CEO of Ambulatory Healthcare Corporation of America (AHCA). At AHCA he helped build the company into a recognized leader of innovative outpatient healthcare services. Under Mr. Danielczyk’s leadership, AHCA became an Inc. 500 company.
Mr. Danielczyk has been an advisor on healthcare issues to government and industry leaders, as well as, serving on numerous board of directors of not-for-profit and charitable organizations. He is an experienced speaker who has appeared at national conferences and has also made numerous radio and television appearances on the issue of healthcare reform and the merchant banking industry.
Dr. Anthony Borgia, D.D.S.
After receiving a bachelor’s degree in biology from Boston College, Dr. Anthony (Tom) Borgia graduated of Georgetown University School of Dentistry, with a DDS degree in 1976. Immediately after graduation, he participated in and completed a two year rotating internship in general dentistry at the USAF Medical Center Wright-Patterson, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. Upon leaving the Air Force, he joined the Procter & Gamble Company in Cincinnati, where he was tasked to conduct research in bone metabolism, specifically for the development and clinical testing of skeletal imaging agents, working specifically with a class of compounds known as diphosphonates. During his years at P & G, he also practiced general dentistry as an associate in a group practice in Hyde Park, a section of the city of Cincinnati. In July of 1980, he entered the post-doctoral program in endodontics at the University Of Connecticut School Of Dental Medicine, receiving a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Endodontics in July of 1982. Following his endodontic training, he moved to Plymouth, Massachusetts and was in the private practice of endodontics until March of 2010 when he transitioned to the position of Assistant Professor and Chairman of the Department of Endodontics at West Virginia University School of Dentistry. In 2003, he received a Master’s degree in Health Administration from Suffolk University in Boston.
Dr. Borgia is a past Trustee and a past Vice-President of the Massachusetts Dental Society and served as a delegate to the American Dental Association’s House of Delegates for seven years. Having served on numerous committees for the American Association of Endodontists, he completed a three year term as a Director for District 1 in that organization. He has been a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Journal of Endodontics since 2010 and has reviewed over 75 articles for potential acceptance by that journal. In May of 2011, he was presented with the Outstanding Teacher Award by the Dental Class of the West Virginia University School of Dentistry, and then received the same award from the Class of 2013 upon their graduation. In April of 2012, he was selected by the Board of Directors of the American Association of Endodontists to receive the 2013 Edward M. Osetek Award for excellence in teaching in Endodontics. Prior to coming to WVU, he served as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University Of Connecticut School Of Dental Medicine from 1990 to 2010.
He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics, a Fellow of the American College of Dentists, the International College of Dentists, and the Pierre Fauchard Academy and a member of Omicron Kappa Epsilon.
Dr. Borgia was appointed Interim Dean of the WVU School of Dentistry on August 1, 2014 and then on June 1, 2015 was named permanent Dean and continues to serve in that capacity
